Arch Resoucring are currently recruiting for a Registered Children's Home Manager for a new service in South East London, supporting Children and Young People with Emotional Behavioural Disorders (EBD)
Job Purpose:
- To be responsible for the operation and management of the children’s home.
- To provide the highest quality of care and support to children and young people in accordance with company policies, procedures and protocols, and the standards set by the regulatory body. To oversee effective safeguarding, care, and support for the children and young people in your care; and leadership to the team of which you are in charge.
- To be responsible for the management and day to day running of the home, including staffing, the weekly budget, the resources, and the fabric of the building

- Training, Supervision & Development
- Communication
- Administration
- Management of staff
- Management of Finances
Qualifications and experience:
- Knowledge of the effects of trauma, abuse, and attachment disruption.
- Working knowledge of The Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015; and the ‘Guide to the Children’s Homes Regulations, including the Quality Standards, 2015’.
- Working knowledge of Working together to Safeguard Children 2018.
- Excellent knowledge of the Social Care Common Inspection Framework (SCCIF).
- Proven track record with Ofsted; achieving a ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ grading as a Registered Manager.
- Within the last 5 years, to have at least 2 years’ experience in a position relevant to the residential care of children.
- Worked for a least 1 year in a role requiring the supervision and management of staff working in a care role.
- Achieved the Level 3/4 Diploma for Residential Childcare or a qualification that the registered provider considers to be equivalent.
- Achieved or willing/ able to work towards Diploma 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare; or a qualification that the registered provider considers to be equivalent.
